Admission Regulations for the Master Program
Prerequisite for access to the part-time master's program "Cognitive Computing" is that the applicant has successfully completed a professionally suitable Bachelor's degree at a university. Applicants who have obtained a degree in a subject-related course on cognitive computing can be admitted, such as in
• Business Informatics
• Artificial Intelligence
• Cognitive Science
• (Computer-)Linguistics
• Mathematics
• Natural Sciences
• Engineering
• a course with a high proportion of computer science
The bachelor's degree program is technically suitable if the following examinations have been successfully completed:
a) at least 15 ECTS credit points from the area of formal methods, such as Quantitative methods, mathematics, statistics or logic
b) at least 25 ECTS credit points from the areas of (business) computer science, artificial intelligence, neuroinformatics or computational linguistics
Applicants must also have proven knowledge of the English language at language level B2 according to the common European reference framework (GERR).
The English language skills apply insofar as this language is not the applicant's mother tongue, proven by
• the applicant Proof of eight years of successful and qualified completion of school English (with an average grade better than seven points in the advanced course / course at an elevated level or better than nine points in the basic course in the Abitur school subject English in the two school years prior to obtaining the university entrance qualification) or
• an IELTS Academic (with at least 6,0) or an equivalent language test
